Strong growth in scholarship support
The monthly amount of the Half Apple Scholarship was increased from TRY 2,000 to TRY 3,500, and 55 students were supported.
Scholarship programmes managed through bursverenler.org generated approximately TRY 23.5 million in scholarship funding. This was 3.6 times the approximately TRY 6.5 million recorded in 2024.
By the end of the year, scholarship applications had exceeded 120,000 and student membership on the platform had surpassed 420,000.
New platforms and wider access
sanateserleri.org was launched, enabling young artists to exhibit their work without commission and promote their workshops and performances.
Films from the BIFED selection were screened at Yücel Arts Center. The Boğaziçi Youth Choir was supported with promotion and fundraising for its participation in the European Festival of Youth Choirs.
Approximately 500 young people came together in 19 English conversation classes. Free, long-term workshops were organised in dance, theatre and drawing.
Programmes including Talk Hive, Genç Alan, Genç Sanat, Genç Sayfa and Genç Dijital supported young people’s participation in learning, creative production and volunteering.
The venue’s technical and cultural capacity was strengthened
A 330 kW generator was installed to meet the power needs of the building and performance centre during electricity outages.
Terrace insulation and repairs were completed. The foyer was transformed into an art gallery and activated with Gülüm İmrat’s photography exhibition, “İçindeki Bilge”.
Improvements were made to the foyer roof, rainwater drainage systems and infrastructure around the car park.
