🚀 Youth Field Program — Take Action!

In Istanbul, a six-week interactive training awaits you to transform your ideas into concrete projects!

Youth Field Program: Organized by Yücel Cultural Foundation, this program aims to empower young people aged 16–29, enhancing their leadership and facilitation skills. Through online and in-person sessions, it seeks to strengthen social responsibility, civic awareness and communication, while offering participants the opportunity to become volunteer trainers.

🎯 Objective: Enable young people to gain sensitivity to social issues and transform their ideas into concrete project proposals; acquire the basic skills to write projects for funds such as Erasmus+, ESC and local NGOs.

Week 1 – What is a Project? Why Write Projects?

  • Project concept and cycle
  • Problem analysis and needs assessment
  • Identifying target groups
  • Interactive exercise: “Problems Around Me”

Week 2 – Goals and Activity Design

  • General and specific goals; SMART objectives
  • Activity–goal relation
  • Group work: Write your own goal

Week 3 – Needs Analysis and Project Logic

  • Root cause analysis
  • Logical Framework Approach
  • Needs mapping tools
  • Exercise: “Why is my project needed?”

Week 4 – Timeline, Resources & Budget

  • Creating a timeline
  • Human resources, materials, venues
  • Budget basics, common mistakes
  • Exercise: Drafting a simple budget

Week 5 – Impact, Visibility & Sustainability

  • Short–medium–long-term impact
  • Reaching the target audience and dissemination
  • Sustainability examples

Week 6 – Project Writing & Presentations

  • Writing ideas in project format
  • Feedback session
  • Presentation, evaluation, certificates & closing

Participants will write and present their ideas in a project format. At the end of the six-week practical process, young people will have gained basic competencies in project planning, budgeting and activity design; capable of developing solution-oriented ideas and turning them into concrete projects.
