At Yücel Cultural Foundation, we value creating encounters where stories on stage connect with audiences not only as performances, but also through emotion, courage, and imagination. With this approach, we are bringing audiences together with an inspiring and uplifting theatre experience at Yücel Arts Center.
On May 10, 2026, at 13:00 and 15:00, “I Have a Voice Too”, staged by Mesele Kumpanya, will meet the audience at Yücel Arts Center.
The play centers on Atlas, a child who loves music but is afraid to take the stage. His biggest dream is to play the ukulele and sing his own song, yet negative comments from his surroundings and his own fears stand in his way.
A neighborhood song contest becomes an important opportunity for Atlas. However, to participate, he must both write his own song and repair his broken ukulele. Throughout this journey, he discovers the importance of friendship, solidarity, and courage.
With Aslı’s support, Atlas learns to face his fears and realizes that real change becomes possible when he dares to try. “I Have a Voice Too” tells not only the story of a child stepping onto the stage, but also a universal journey of finding one’s own voice, believing in oneself, and pursuing one’s dreams.
Inviting its audience to reflect on hope, solidarity, and courage, the play highlights the unifying power of music and the importance of supportive relationships through a warm and engaging narrative.
The Culture Hunters project by Yücel Cultural Foundation aims to make cultural and artistic events more accessible to young people, while encouraging them to explore and share these experiences together.
Culture Hunters is more than an audience—it is a community that brings together individuals who wish to build deeper connections with theatre, music, exhibitions, and other art forms. Through these events, participants gain access to high-quality productions and experience the transformative power of art collectively.
“I Have a Voice Too” is one of the productions featured within the Culture Hunters program, inviting audiences to reflect on the courage to find one’s voice, the power of friendship, and the change that becomes possible together.
