Between 11–24 June 2025, the Mind Matters: Youth Mental Health Empowerment project took place in Slovakia. It aimed to increase young people's awareness of mental health and strengthen their skills in this area.
The project was designed to break taboos around mental health, create safe spaces for young people to express their emotions, and equip them with the skills they need throughout the process. Both personal development and social awareness were emphasized.
Through creative activities and open dialogue sessions, a safe environment was created where young people could freely express their emotions, support one another, and feel secure.
A respectful and open-minded community emerged, where every participant made meaningful contributions.
Mind Matters offered a meaningful experience that highlighted mental health as equally important as physical health, raised awareness, and connected with the inner worlds of young individuals.
By the end of the project, participants returned to their countries not only more informed, but also more confident, conscious, and empathetic individuals.
