Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 7:00 PM, we will host a screening of the film “Touch” at our performance center in Sultanahmet. The film, directed by Ethem Özgüven, was featured in the 2019 selection of the Bozcaada International Festival of Ecological Documentary (BIFED), an event we proudly collaborated on as the Yücel Cultural Foundation.
Aziz Nesin, one of Turkey's most significant modern writers and a master of satire, is regarded by some critics as “the most powerful and productive humorist of our age.” As a poet, novelist, playwright, journalist, and short story writer, many of Nesin's works have been reprinted numerous times, with total circulation exceeding eight million—a milestone yet unmatched by any other Turkish author. This portrait of a man who tirelessly advocated for democracy, freedom, and peace celebrates his 100th birthday. His words remain as relevant and meaningful today as they were 30 years ago.
Our event is open to representatives of our partner institutions, our trustees, volunteers, scholarship recipients, and art enthusiasts. You can register for the event via sanateserleri.org. Click here to register!
