Bring Your Idea to Life

Have an idea? We can develop it together

Since 1969, the Yücel Cultural Foundation has supported young people’s dreams, ideas and development. If you have a project idea that could benefit young people, you can share it with us and, where appropriate, request an assessment regarding its development and implementation.

Project Areas

What kinds of ideas can you submit?

Our priority is work in which young people participate actively and that creates tangible benefits for them. The areas below are examples.

Youth and Education

Projects that strengthen young people’s access to knowledge, education, skills development and new learning experiences.

Culture and Arts

Projects that support young people’s participation in cultural and artistic production and their access to different forms of expression.

Social Impact

Ideas that address a social need and aim to create inclusive and sustainable impact.

National and International Collaboration

Collaborative projects that enable young people to learn and create with participants from different cities and countries.

First Step

Your idea may still be at an early stage

You do not need to have every detail completed before applying. Sharing your idea in a clear framework is sufficient for an initial assessment.

What can you include in your first email?

  • The problem you want to address or the need you want to meet,
  • The project’s target group and the benefit it would provide to young people,
  • The main activities you are planning and the estimated implementation period,
  • Any team members, potential partner organisations and preparations already made,
  • An estimated budget or the type of support needed, where known.

If you want to turn your idea into a project

The Yücel Cultural Foundation may organise training at certain times on project-cycle management, project development and application preparation.

These training sessions help structure an idea around objectives, target groups, activities, timelines, budgets and expected outcomes. Current training announcements are shared through the Foundation’s communication channels.

Assessment

How is a project idea assessed?

  1. Sharing the Idea

A project summary and basic information are sent to the Foundation by email.

  2. Preliminary Review

The idea is reviewed for alignment with the Foundation’s purposes, areas of work and potential benefit to young people.

  3. Discussion and Development

Where necessary, the project owner is contacted and asked to clarify missing details.

  4. Feasibility and Resource Assessment

Feasibility, timeline, budget, team, possible partnerships and available resources are considered together.

  5. Decision and Next Steps

For ideas found suitable, the support model, responsibilities and implementation process are determined separately.

Submission Does Not Guarantee Support

Each project idea is assessed in light of the Foundation’s purposes, its potential benefit to young people, feasibility, budget, timeline and available resources. The Foundation may decline ideas it does not consider suitable or cannot support at that time.
