The Genç Alan Program is a multi-dimensional development initiative designed to create spaces where young people can express themselves, take active roles in society, and learn and produce together. Developed with the youth-centered approach of Yücel Cultural Foundation, this program aims to empower young people not only as observers, but as individuals who generate ideas, take action, and create transformation. Through this program, young people design, implement, and evaluate projects that can create impact both individually and socially. Genç Alan supports young people in developing a sense of social responsibility and active citizenship, while encouraging them to produce solution-oriented ideas for local and social challenges. The Genç Alan Program is a learning journey shaped through workshops, gatherings, micro project support, local forums, and volunteering experiences. The trainings within the program aim to strengthen young people’s skills in creative thinking, project development, leadership, teamwork, and community building. Participants learn to generate creative solutions to problems. They experience empathy-building, problem definition, and solution development through design thinking methods. Young people learn how to transform an idea into a socially impactful project, including target audience analysis, needs assessment, activity planning, and impact measurement. Leadership is approached from a participatory perspective rather than a hierarchical one. Participants explore their strengths and practice active listening, open communication, and group facilitation. Participants develop a collaborative understanding of leadership, focusing on shared responsibility, participatory decision-making, and collective production. This workshop focuses on transforming socially driven ideas into sustainable initiatives, including business model development, audience analysis, and impact planning. Participants gain skills in storytelling, strategy building, and creative collaboration through digital or physical game design processes. This workshop focuses on building trust within groups, creating shared values, and strengthening the sense of belonging among participants. Genç Alan aims not only to provide knowledge, but also to strengthen young people’s experience of co-creation, responsibility, and social connection. Your donations help us expand participatory spaces where young people can bring their ideas to life and reach more young people.Genç Alan Program - A Space for Youth Participation and Co-Creation
