On-site parking is available for up to 110 vehicles for audiences, production teams and guests. Located just 70 metres from Hagia Sophia, Yücel Arts Center stands at the heart of Istanbul’s cultural memory. One of the venue’s walls adjoins the historic stone wall of the Basilica Cistern. This exceptional location gives the venue more than a technical advantage; it also creates a distinctive atmosphere for events, filming and artistic production. Its flexible seating system, suitable acoustic structure and fresh-air-focused ventilation infrastructure allow it to host a wide range of disciplines. Yücel Arts Center offers technical features designed to support both the audience experience and production processes. The 242-seat arrangement can be fully retracted, allowing the venue to adapt to performances, rehearsals, filming and workshops. The system does not recirculate indoor air. Fresh outdoor air is heated or cooled before entering the venue. Capacity has been calculated for 400 people, including performers. The venue is suitable for theatre and concerts. Acoustic curtains can be used to adjust reverberation time. The venue has three large and one small fire-exit doors, together with emergency equipment. The doors can also be used for audience, performer and set access. Its central location, 70 metres from Hagia Sophia, and parking for 110 vehicles provide convenient access for audiences and production teams.
